Privacy Policy
What SheetSweep does
SheetSweep finds duplicate rows in the Google Sheet you have open. You preview matches, then clean: we make a backup tab first, remove duplicates, and can optionally move them to a Review tab.
Data we access
When you authorize the add-on, SheetSweep can:
- Read and edit the currently open spreadsheet (headers, cell values, backup/review tabs, deleting or moving duplicate rows)
- Show its sidebar UI in Sheets
Google OAuth scopes we use:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly— only the sheet you open, not the rest of Drive -
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui— the add-on sidebar
Data we store
- Sheet contents are processed in Google Apps Script in your Google account. We do not run a separate app server for your sheet data.
- A short last-run summary may be saved in the spreadsheet’s document properties (stays in your Google file).
- We do not sell your spreadsheet data.
Data sharing
We do not share your spreadsheet contents with third parties. Google processes data as needed to run Apps Script and Workspace services you already use. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How we protect your data
We use encryption and other reasonable protections to keep your Google user data confidential:
- Encryption in transit: Authorization and API traffic use Google HTTPS and OAuth.
- Limited access: SheetSweep only uses the OAuth scopes you grant — the currently open spreadsheet and the add-on sidebar UI. It cannot access the rest of your Drive.
- No SheetSweep server storage: Processing runs in Google Apps Script on Google’s infrastructure in your Google account. We do not operate a separate application server that stores your spreadsheet contents.
- Data that stays with you: Any optional last-run summary is saved in the spreadsheet’s document properties and remains in your Google file.
- Your control: You can revoke access in your Google Account or uninstall the add-on at any time.
- We do not sell your data. Data is shared with Google only as needed to run Workspace and Apps Script services.
Your choices
- Uninstall SheetSweep anytime
- Delete any backup or Review tabs the add-on created
- Revoke access in your Google Account permissions
Children
SheetSweep is for general / business use and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. Keep using SheetSweep after a change means you accept the update.
